The Mission Society provides global missionary support through missionary recruiting, missionary training and equipping church leaders and others to lead international and short-term mission trips. Based in Norcross, GA, The Mission Society was originally formed to support Methodist missionaries, but now works with a variety of Wesleyan denominations offering missionary training, missionary seminars, missionary workshops and church leadership training throughout the United States and around the world.

The Russells currently live and serve in Wa, Ghana.

John is a Pastor/ Evangelist with the Wa Circuit/ Church with the Dagara, Wali, and Lobi tribes.  He preaches, plants churches, and holds Bible Study and devotions.  He also helps and leads devotions at the Wa School for the Blind.  Efforts are also made to build relationships with and demonstrate the Gospel to Muslims in the Wa area.  Bess homeschools Isaac, cares for the family, and medically treats people in villages around Wa with First Aid.  Isaac (8) enjoys visiting villages, playing outside, and catching frogs and Rachel (5) enjoys playing "house", dancing in the villages, and playing on the "playground".
