Cathy Coburn

Field: University of Georgia Wesley Foundation
Home State: Georgia

Cathy is serving at the the UGA Wesley Foundation as the Dorm Life Director, an evangelistic ministry in the dorms. Leaders from 7 different campus ministries lead weekly small groups in the dorms, particpate in prayer, outreach, and evangelist opportunities. Student leaders serve in order to share Christ with the UGA students, build relationships with the students, and help them find their place in the Body of Christ on campus. The Lord has already used Dorm Life to bring many students to Christ and unify the UGA campus ministries.

The Dorm Life Mission Verse is Acts 1:8: "You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in all of Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

Cathy is also weekly one-on-one discipling 4 Wesley Foundation Interns. She is meeting with these girls for weekly for prayer, accountability, and study of Christ's image. She leads a weekly prayer meeting every Tuesday night to pray for the Lost on the UGA Campus, and she is serving as a board member for Covenant Care, a Christian Adoption agency in Athens.
