The Mission Society provides global missionary support through missionary recruiting, missionary training and equipping church leaders and others to lead international and short-term mission trips. Based in Norcross, GA, The Mission Society was originally formed to support Methodist missionaries, but now works with a variety of Wesleyan denominations offering missionary training, missionary seminars, missionary workshops and church leadership training throughout the United States and around the world.

  • Event date: May 27 — 30, 2008

    The Mission Society will conduct training for Mission Interns as well as Wesley Foundation Campus Ministers at The Mission Society’s headquarters in Norcoss. Orientation to philosophy, core values of The Mission Society, and training in discipleship and cross-cultural ministry are the key focal points of this training event.

    "Engage" is a summer internship program in Ghana, West Africa. It is designed for young adults (ages 18-25) who are interested in exploring the call of God upon their lives through a cross-cultural experience.

    Equipping Short-Term Mission Leaders seeks to equip leaders to effectively coordinate, train, and disciple the members of their short-term mission teams. This two-day workshop walks you step-by-step through the planning process.

    Orientation Training is an annual training event for cross-cultural workers that last two weeks and takes place in the beautiful and serene rain forest mountains of Teresopolis/Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

  • Event date: August 15 — 17, 2008

    This weekend includes a six-hour seminar as well as ministry to the entire congregation in Sunday worship and Sunday School classes or small groups. This weekend will help bring a deeper understanding of the biblical basis of global missions, a greater awareness of the world, and a challenge to greater involvement in outreach locally and internationally.
