The Mission Society provides global missionary support through missionary recruiting, missionary training and equipping church leaders and others to lead international and short-term mission trips. Based in Norcross, GA, The Mission Society was originally formed to support Methodist missionaries, but now works with a variety of Wesleyan denominations offering missionary training, missionary seminars, missionary workshops and church leadership training throughout the United States and around the world.

Events

  • Event date: June 1 — August 1, 2008

    "Engage" is a summer internship program in Ghana, West Africa. It is designed for young adults (ages 18-25) who are interested in exploring the call of God upon their lives through a cross-cultural experience.

  • Event date: September 27 — October 4, 2008

    By invitation of staff, attend MCE, which is held several times a year in Atlanta. The candidate is responsible for the costs of MCE, which usually totals $200 plus travel expenses. (MCE not required for interns or campus missionaries.) The week includes interaction with staff, ministry and team-building activities, interviews and a Personality Profile Assessment. Approval for missionary appointment made at the end of the week.

    Taylor University is hosting World Opportunities Week (WOW) for students interested in missions. If you are interested in serving as a missionary, stop by The Mission Society booth and talk to one of our staff members about the various terms of service we offer.

    As a ministry of Southeast Christian Church, the Global Missions Health Conference (GMHC) shares the church’s vision to connect people to Jesus and one another. Stemming from the Missions Ministry at Southeast, which seeks to make these connections throughout the world, the GMHC extends that reach even further.
